In the article, we’ll dive into the settings of your AppVentory single business account.


General

Account settings

Account info

Under your account info, you’ll need to set up your personal profile with your name, email, and an optional image.

Notifications

In this page, you can set up push notifications in-app to stay updated on what’s happening while you’re online. Just flip the switches as needed!


Security
You can easily change your password and check your activity log whenever you want. We’ve also turned on two-factor authentication by default, which adds an extra layer of security and stops unauthorized logins even if your email and password are stolen.


Activity log
Track and review all user activity logs for better account insights.


Task settings

The Task Settings section lets you manage task summaries and notifications. Customize how Due Date, Title, Status, Priority, or Associated Client sort tasks. Adjust email and notification preferences by setting the delivery frequency and choosing between Email or Push Notifications for updates.




Business settings

Business profile
In here, add in your business details. Make sure to fill in all areas that have an asterisk mark.

Preferences
In the preferences section, choose your preferred transaction currency, time zone, financial year, and decide if you want AppVentory to automatically select your payment frequency based on your patterns.

User and Role management
To invite a user to your AppVentory account, you can use the user management feature. Before inviting, it’s a good idea to create some relevant roles so that the user can choose which role they want when they accept the invitation.


In order to create a role, navigate to "Role Management" and click on "Create New Role".



Please enter the role name and select ‘Full access’ if the role requires full access.



If the role doesn’t need full access to everything, just select ‘Limited Access’ and then choose the modules it needs access to. By default, the role gets view only access for every module.



After setting up access, click ‘Create Role’. Once a role is made, you can use it to invite users.



App Settings

Custom Mapping Rules

Custom Mapping Rules allow you to automate expense categorization by creating conditions based on the Description or Vendor Name. You can set rules to either Identify or Ignore expenses and allocate them to a specific app. Define the Value Type, Condition, and Value, then choose the Action to Perform, assign an App Name, and set Priority to determine the rule execution order. This ensures accurate and efficient expense management across your integrated apps.


App Categories

App Categories allow you to organize and classify apps based on their purpose. When adding a new app, you can select a category from a customizable dropdown list. 




These categories can be managed under Settings > App Categories, where you can create categories to better align with your workflow. This ensures streamlined app management and easier identification of apps within the system.

Deleted Apps

In this section, you’ll find all the apps that have been deleted from the apps section. You can browse them by a specific time period or category. And guess what? You can even restore them if you need to. When you restore an app, you can choose whether you want it to be an “In-Use” app or a “Discovered” app.
