Task Management - AppVentory General

Overview

Task Management provides a centralized workspace to organize, assign and track actionable items across the organization. Designed to improve visibility and accountability, this feature allows team members to structure day-to-day responsibilities, prioritize deliverables, and streamline task execution using customisable summaries and collaborative tools. 


Purpose

Task Management is used to:

  • Create and assign tasks based on workflow such as calls, emails, or general to do list
  • Set and manage deadlines by priority and due date
  • Customize task views and summaries for clear communication 
  • Enable timely reminders and repeat cycles to support recurring taks
  • Monitor and deliver task updates via preferred channels


Using Task Management

Task Overview and Filters

Tasks can be viewed and filtered using Task Type, Priority, and Due Date dropdown fields. Search functionality and Customize Columns help tailor the view for relevance and clarity.


Task Settings

Accessible via the Task Settings button, this area configures how task summaries are delivered. The configuration page (Settings > Task Settings) includes two major sections:

  • Summary Preferences

           - Sort Tasks By: Choose to sort by Due Date or Priority

           - Preferred Content: Select key element to appear in summaries, such as Task Title, Status, Due Date, Priority, and Associated Client

  • Email & Delivery Preferences 

           - Delivery Frequency: Choose from predefined schedules such a Daily, Weekend, or Monthly

           - Delivery Channel: Options include Email or Push Notification


Creating a Task

Clicking Create Task opens a task creation panel from the night. This from supports structured task creation with the following features:

  • Title and description fields to define the task
  • Dropdown selections for Task Type (Call, Email, To do list) and Priority (High, Medium, Low)
  • Assignment field to designate responsible users
  • Due date and time pickers to set deadlines
  • Optional recurring task setup with configurable frequency
  • Collaborator field to involve relevant team members
