Before you can add a referral to ChannelBoost, you need to make sure that you have recruited partners into your PR.

You will also need to have your partner types configured in order to use the referrals and deal management section.
Please navigate to Settings >> General, and configure accordingly.
- Partner Status: What is the proficiency level of the partner? Is the partner a beginner, intermediate, or expert?
- Partner Type: Are they a reseller, implementation partner, referral partner, or something else?
- Partner Tiers: The tier indicates the preference/value you have for a specific partner. This is also used when displayed in the partner directory listing.
- Partner Groups (Optional): If there is a need for further subcategories for partner types, partner groups can be utilized.
- Provider Products: If you offer multiple software options, please list them here
Let's now add a referral to ChannelBoost
Navigate to the "Referrals" tab and click "Submit New Referral" to add referrals individually or in bulk via CSV.
When adding individually, please fill in or select all of the necessary fields needed.
The below fields are mandatory:
- Select Partners: This dropdown menu lists all Technical advisors connected to your portal. Essentially, we select the consultant partner the referral is linked to. Multiple partners can be selected here.
- Enter the "First Name", "Last Name", "Email", and "Company" as mandatory fields.
- Finally, select a user from your portal to be the owner of this particular referral.
After filling in all the required information, proceed to submit it. After submitting a referral, it will be visible on both the Technical advisor portal and ChannelBoost. If either side wins the referral, you can click the "convert" button to turn it into a deal. If you convert the referral to a deal directly from ChannelBoost, you won't need to take any further steps in the system. The deal will simply appear in the list of deals.
Deals
In the Deal page, you will be able to all your converted Deals. You can choose between a list view, or a kanban view.
You can choose to submit a deal directly by using the "Submit Deal" button. Once a deal is in, you can go ahead and change it status to match the current progress. You can click into any deal to view a detailed view of everything concerning the prospect.
Once you have marked a deal as closed won, all parties will be notified accordingly, are your deal will show as complete. If you plan to reject a lead, this has to be done before marking it as "Closed Won".
